Born from over a decade of shared faith and friendship, Oh Sparrow is the collaboration of songwriters Alex and Corey Fleeman of Atlanta Westside Church and Chris Weldon of Redeemer West Side, NYC.
Oh Sparrow writes songs for their local worshiping communities, for broken individuals, and for all who feel like little sparrows facing big problems. Their songs feature honest, scripture-inspired lyrics that explore themes of hope, heartbreak, and the ground in between.
The Bible speaks of sparrows surprisingly often. Almost always it is to offer comfort to God’s lost and lonely children, and to remind them of his care and provision. Jesus tells his disciples in Luke 12, “Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight.” If God takes careful notice of each small sparrow, how much more so every precious person he creates and sustains?
